Reporting to the Head of HR of this multi-sited blue-chip client, you will be an integral part of an amazing HR team in the heart of an organisation which puts people first.
Implementing positive change and modernisation, you will be a self-starter keen to develop and a capable HR generalist with creative ideas for improvement.

The Role
Reporting to the Head of HR, the HR Business Partner will proactively partner functions across the business within a HR Generalist capacity. The role will be imperative in reshaping, driving and embedding transformational change across the organisation. We want to build a culture that inspires and empowers our employees, and this role will play a pivotal role in this exciting journey.
This role will primarily be based in Caerphilly but will cover our other businesses so there will be the requirement for travel to other sites up to one or two days a week.
Responsibilities
- Embed and influence change projects as part of our People Plan and be an integral part of the HR transformation opportunities to modernise the business.
- Upskill managers by being visible and proactively create and deliver relevant people manager courses.
- Build, advise on and influence the review, development and successful implementation of progressive people processes and policies across the division.
- Successfully partner the business across various functions to build manager capability with a proactive approach in mind and a foundation of strong knowledge and understanding of employment law.
- Partner managers and build understanding of effective headcount profiling through the use of Workforce Plans to inform our talent & succession plans, growth opportunities and overall headcount management.
- Support the businesses across the division with activities contributing to strong employee engagement to ensure our teams find better ways in the way we work in order to shape and build an improved culture.
- Own and lead MI and data analytics ensuring data integrity and using this as a tool to influence decision making.
- Utilise a strong ER skillset to effectively advise and coach the business on cases relating to absence management, disciplinaries, grievances etc.
- Ensure all offer documentation is accurate and processed smoothly through our HRIS, Workday.
- Keep up to date with the latest HR trends relating to employment law, working practices, and ED&I to contribute towards continuous improvement.
Person Specification
If you are ready to make an impact and by using your previous generalist HR experience, you will successfully partner the business across the whole lifecycle. The role will allow you to be creative and work independently with our stakeholders across the business unit to be curious, forward-looking, work together and find a better way.
Knowledge & Experience Requirements (don’t worry if you haven’t got all of these; we like to develop and upskill our employees):
- Previous experience within a generalist HR role.
- CIPD Level 5 (minimum) qualification.
- Strong working knowledge of employment law.
- Proven self-starter and strong team player.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office software & Workday HRIS System.
