Temporary Learning & Development Manager
Job Description
Our client requires immediate L&D support ideally from a Leadership & Management and Customer Experience professional who can confidently take the lead on a range of L&D activity including several critical projects around compliance and e-learning.
Successful Applicant
The Role: To design, create, run, facilitate & monitor effective learning and development solutions across the Company.
This is a 3-6 month contract.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work with wider HR team to deliver on all Learning & Development frameworks
- Develop, evolve and maintain a variety of Learning & Development programmes and interventions as required, which support the development needs of the team and impact the strategic vision
- To deliver inspiring and engaging learning to employees across the business as well as other learning interventions including coaching, workplace training, workshops, classroom training, 1-2-1 sessions, e-learning, action learning teams and webinars/video content
- Embed a 70:20:10 approach to learning
- Manage outputs from training need analysis and PDP reviews to develop a suite of learning which benefits not only individual development but also organisational development
- Lead on allocated L&D activity from any assigned project including but not limited to; Net-Zero, Talent Management, Leadership & Management and Customer Experience
- Responsible for monthly reporting on the success of all learning delivered and project actions. Monitor the feedback and results and suggest improvement ideas
- Act as a change-agent to support business growth
- Organise training venues, logistics, transport and accommodation as required achieving efficient training attendance and delivery
- Promote and effectively communicate learning and development activity in accordance with agreed development plans
- Ensure that all delivery of learning and development is to a professional standard, wherever possible adopting facilitation skills that enhance the quality of the learning experience for all participants
- Consistently refer to the customer impact and the ROI on all learning and how L&D supports the Company
- Any other projects or duties which are not listed and are considered a reasonable request from your line manager.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
- Demonstrable experience of creating and delivering learning programmes to a wide variety of learner
- Demonstrable experience of creating & delivering content, including E-Learning content
- Experience of generating creative solutions to solve business problems
- Demonstrable ability to manage concurrent, time pressured projects
- Proven excellent written communication skills with a keen eye for consistency and detail
- IT savvy with good knowledge of presentation tools such as Microsoft Office 365 applications and Canva.
